Accessibility Statement

Teevexa Ltd wants everyone — regardless of ability — to be able to discover events, book tickets, and manage their bookings on Mtaani Tickets. This statement describes what we've done so far, where we know we still fall short, and how to reach us if something doesn't work for you.
1. Our commitment
Accessibility is an ongoing effort, not a one-time checklist. As we build new features — event browsing, checkout, the organizer dashboard, blog — we try to build them so they work with a keyboard alone, read sensibly with a screen reader, and remain usable for people with low vision or color-vision differences.
2. Standards we aim for
We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA as our target standard. We have not yet commissioned an independent, formal audit against WCAG 2.1 AA, so we're not claiming full conformance — this statement reflects genuine, ongoing work rather than a certification.
3. Measures we've taken
- Interactive elements across the Platform — including event cards, buttons, and form controls — are reachable and operable by keyboard, with a visible focus indicator.
- Form fields are paired with visible, programmatically-associated labels.
- Images carry descriptive alt text (or are marked decorative where appropriate).
- The color palette used throughout the Platform is checked for sufficient contrast against its background for normal text.
- The interface is responsive and usable across a range of screen sizes, from mobile phones to desktop monitors.
- Both light and dark color themes are supported, and respect your system preference.
4. Assistive technology
We aim for the Platform to work well with commonly used screen readers (such as VoiceOver and TalkBack) and browser zoom/text-resizing features on modern versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge. If you use assistive technology we haven't tested with, please let us know — that's genuinely useful information for us.
5. Known limitations
Some parts of the Platform have not yet had a full accessibility review, including richly-formatted blog content submitted through our editor and some data visualizations in the organizer analytics dashboard. We're aware these areas need dedicated attention and they're on our roadmap.
6. Feedback & contact
If you encounter an accessibility barrier anywhere on Mtaani Tickets — a page that doesn't work with your screen reader, text that's hard to read, or a control you can't operate by keyboard — please tell us. Email mtaanitickets@gmail.com with a description of the issue, the page it's on, and the device/browser/assistive technology you were using. We'll acknowledge your report and let you know how we plan to address it.
7. Ongoing work
We review accessibility as part of building new features, and we intend to carry out a more formal audit against WCAG 2.1 AA as the Platform matures. This statement will be updated as that work progresses.
